RTX's Collins Aerospace Completes EPACS Altitude Testing

09:31 AM EDT, 08/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RTX's (RTX) Collins Aerospace unit said Monday it has completed altitude testing of its Enhanced Power and Cooling System, or EPACS. The system provides increased cooling capacity and thermal margin to support planned technology upgrades on the F-35, Collins Aerospace said. The testing ran the system for several days at power levels replicating mission requirements and across various altitudes to collect performance data and demonstrate emergency power capabilities, the company said.
