Apple to Launch New Mac Mini Computers With M6, M5 Pro Chips

09:24 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Apple (AAPL) said Tuesday it is launching its new Mac mini computers with M6 and M5 Pro chips. With the M6 chip, the new Mac mini will deliver up to 4 times faster AI performance and 40% faster CPU performance than previous Mac mini systems with the M4 chip, the company said. Apple said clients can pre-order the new Mac mini starting Tuesday in 30 countries and regions, including the US. The Mac mini with M6 starts at $899 in the US and the Mac mini with M5 Pro starts at $1,699 in the US, it said. Separately, Apple said Tuesday it is introducing the M5 Ultra chip in its new Mac Studio computer. The M5 Ultra was designed for professional and AI workloads, the company said. Apple also said Tuesday it is launching the its new Mac Studio computer with the M5 Max and the M5 Ultra chips, designed for better AI performance and faster graphics for professional users. Customers can pre-order the new Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra starting Tuesday in 30 countries and regions, including the US, Apple said. The Mac Studio with M5 Max starts at $2,499 in the US and the Mac Studio with M5 Ultra starts at $5,499 in the US, it said.
