Foreign media: Canton ecosystem continues to advance as CC weakens
According to foreign media, the CC token has recently continued its pullback, with the price once again approaching the $0.087 area that briefly held in early August. Unlike its price performance, the Canton ecosystem has seen new progress in recent weeks, and on-chain supply and demand indicators have improved compared to the June lows, but these changes have not yet translated into stronger buying interest.
Burn/Mint Ratio Rebounds
The article notes that one metric for observing network activity is the weekly Burn/Mint ratio, which compares the amount of tokens burned to the amount minted over a given period. When this ratio is above 1, it typically signals that the token has entered a deflationary state.
Currently, this ratio stands at 0.72, higher than the 0.57 seen in late June 2026. Although it has not yet reached above 1, and therefore cannot be said that CC is deflationary, it at least shows that the balance between burning and minting has improved compared to before.
New Listing and Contract Library Launch
In addition to changes in on-chain data, CC also announced its listing on a new centralized exchange that day, debuting alongside two other assets. Typically, new listings help boost liquidity and market attention, but this time the price reaction was relatively limited.
The article also mentions that OpenZeppelin has introduced its security standards to Canton and has launched a Daml contract library supporting CIP-112 tokens and settlement standards. The first batch of reference implementations covers four types of scenarios: privacy-focused DEXs, lending protocols, confidential auctions, and cross-chain stablecoin payments.
- Weekly Burn/Mint ratio is 0.72
- Late June low was 0.57
- The initial batch of reference implementations covers 4 types of applications
Pressure Around $0.087
From the price observations in the article, CC has remained weak overall in August, with the area around $0.087 being the main support level to watch for now. This level briefly provided support in early August, and the price is now approaching this zone again.
If $0.087 is lost, the next key level will be around $0.082, which served as support later in 2025. If this area is also broken, the price could further target the $0.062 demand area.

Overall, foreign media believe that while the fundamentals of Canton are still developing, in the absence of renewed demand returning to the market, price movements remain driven by short-term trading sentiment.
