5 Features That Set the Truth API Apart From Traditional News Feeds

Trump Media & Technology Group has launched Truth API, a business-to-business feed built for financial firms and automated trading systems. The service sends selected Truth Social posts directly to customers in milliseconds. It differs from standard feeds through speed, structure, account selection, archives, and pricing. The service went live in early August after Trump Media announced it in July.

However, the product does not replace a conventional newsroom service. Trump Media’s description focuses on direct post delivery rather than reporting, fact-checking, or broader news coverage. Meanwhile, lawmakers have raised questions about market access and presidential communications. TMTG maintains that customers receive faster access to information already available publicly.

Trump Media says Truth API sends posts through industry-standard delivery methods in milliseconds. The company also promises continuous 24/7 coverage for subscribed organizations. High-frequency firms can therefore receive posts without waiting for manual refreshes or standard push notifications. That delivery structure targets businesses where fractions of a second can affect execution.

Reuters reported that small timing differences can carry value during fast market moves. Customers do not receive unpublished posts before other users, according to reporting. Instead, the service reduces delivery delays between public posting and machine receipt. Regular push s or page-refresh systems can take longer to deliver the same material.

Truth API supplies machine-readable data for algorithmic and high-frequency trading firms. Software can ingest that material directly without requiring a person to read each post. Trump Media says firms previously relied on manual monitoring without an official integrated API. The structured format therefore removes several steps from the information-delivery process.

However, Trump Media does not describe Truth API as an editorial news product. Its published specifications cover post delivery, archives, speed, and continuous access. They do not list independent reporting, fact-checking, or editorial analysis among the product functions. Customers primarily receive direct source material from selected Truth Social accounts.

Sources say that Truth API covers ten influential Truth Social accounts. Trump Media describes the group as its highest-ranking accounts but has not published its complete ranking method. President Donald Trump has the platform’s largest following. His account frequently carries statements involving trade, foreign policy, and other government matters.

The service also includes an archive of posts dating to 2022. That database gives quantitative firms historical material for testing trading models against previous posts. However, Truth API does not supply wider reporting from outside Truth Social. Its published scope therefore stays narrower than diversified financial news services covering companies, economies, commodities, and politics.

Meanwhile, Trump Media has not published an official Truth API price list. Sources reported discussions around $100,000 monthly or $60,000 monthly with a three-year commitment. TMTG said it had already secured customers before the August launch. The reported subscription level targets institutions rather than ordinary social-media users.

An SEC filing shows Trump’s revocable trust holds 114.75 million TMTG shares, representing about 41% of outstanding stock. Representative Ritchie Torres asked the SEC to examine securities-law and investor-protection concerns involving Truth API. However, Reuters reported that public availability could complicate insider-trading claims under existing law. TMTG says the product provides faster access to publicly available Truth Social data.
