“Jiang Feng Trading Strategy Diary” Issue 26
Review of yesterday's Issue 25 strategy:
Yesterday’s article provided:
📌BTC: Set up short positions around 65,300
📌ETH: Set up short positions around 1,935
Afterwards, Bitcoin rebounded to a high of around 65,348 before starting to decline, hitting a low of around 63,788, with the first target achieved.
Ethereum faced resistance at about 1,930, and the maximum did not reach the anticipated pressure level near 1,935.
Currently, part of the previously high short positions has already been reduced, and the remaining positions are still held for breakeven gains.
So today’s approach remains unchanged:
Don’t chase shorts, wait for a rebound; don’t go heavy, wait for confirmation.

The above targets are basically support levels, so take profits in batches based on your actual situation! If the above strategies are not triggered after entry, just keep holding the shorts from Issue 25 and Issue 24!
What deserves the most attention today?
Instead of simply watching BTC’s hundreds of points of oscillation, the real focus today is the US July CPI. The market currently expects US July CPI year-on-year to be about 3.4%, and core CPI about 2.5%. CPI will be released on the evening of August 12 (GMT+8), making it one of the most important macro data points this week.
Why do I keep emphasizing CPI? Because what the market is really trading now is not just “is inflation high or low,” but:
Will expectations for a Federal Reserve rate cut in September change after the CPI data is released?
If inflation is clearly below expectations, the market may start trading on renewed rate cut expectations and risk assets may gain support.
But if CPI is higher than expected, especially if core inflation remains strong, expectations for a rate cut may cool again and BTC, ETH may face short-term pressure.
