```html(1) The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) plunged 4.58% on August 6, closing at 6,296.38 points, down 301.88 points from the previous trading day. Weak overnight performance of Wall Street tech stocks, combined with simultaneous sell-offs by foreign and institutional investors, put significant pressure on the index.(2) In terms of capital flows, foreign investors maintained net selling from the opening, with the net sell volume reaching 3.9781 trillion Korean won for the day. Institutional investors also net sold 235.7 billion Korean won. Individual investors net bought 4.1062 trillion Korean won, absorbing the market’s sell pressure, but it was still insufficient to prevent the index from falling.(3) Semiconductor stocks took a direct hit—Samsung Electronics fell 6.30%, and SK Hynix dropped 10.37%. In contrast, secondary battery companies showed relative resilience: LG Energy Solution rose 2.83%, and POSCO Holdings gained 0.63%.```
