⑴ According to data from Poland's Central Statistical Office, the national monthly median salary in February 2026 was 7,690.82 zloty, approximately 1,786.69 euros, which is 22.8% lower than the average wage in the enterprise sector during the same period. The median represents the midpoint of the wage distribution, meaning half of employees earn above this level and the other half below. ⑵ The average wage statistics for enterprises cover only medium and large companies and exclude small business entities with no more than 9 employees, so this figure is often higher than the overall economic average. In February, the average salary in enterprises stood at 9,966.32 zloty, about 2,314.83 euros, a month-on-month increase of 6.6% and a year-on-year rise of 6.4%. ⑶ The median salary rose 3.3% over the previous month and 7.3% compared to the previous year. In companies with 9 or fewer employees, the monthly median salary was equal to the minimum wage standard, at 4,806 zloty. The continued significant gap between the median and average values reflects the imbalance in wage distribution in Poland's labor market, with income levels in small and medium-sized enterprises and low-wage positions far below those of large enterprises.
