A Ripple and XRP Question for Michael Saylor. Here’s His Response
Crypto Dyl News has drawn attention to comments made by MicroStrategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor after he was asked whether his view on Ripple and XRP had changed.
The clip, which Crypto Dyl News described on X as a “must-watch” for XRP holders, features entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David questioning Saylor about reports involving Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and President Donald Trump before asking directly if his position on Ripple had shifted.
The exchange has garnered attention because Saylor has historically been one of Bitcoin’s strongest advocates and has often been critical of other digital assets. As a result, many XRP supporters were interested to hear whether his perspective had evolved.
Patrick Bet-David Raises Ripple and Trump Reports
During the conversation, Patrick Bet-David referred to reports that Garlinghouse had met with President Trump. While recalling the reports, he mentioned headlines suggesting that comments from the Ripple CEO had fueled speculation surrounding XRP and its market performance.
Bet-David then turned the conversation toward Saylor’s broader views on cryptocurrency. After briefly discussing Elon Musk’s interest in crypto, he asked Saylor directly whether his position on Ripple had changed since their previous conversation.
Rather than addressing Ripple or XRP specifically, Saylor shifted the discussion to the broader regulatory environment for digital assets in the United States.
Saylor Focuses on Regulatory Framework
Saylor said it had become clear that the current administration is supportive of cryptocurrency, describing it as “pro crypto” and “pro digital assets.” He also expressed confidence that government agencies would continue moving toward policies that encourage growth in the sector.
He pointed to what he believes is an outdated regulatory system, explaining that companies seeking to raise relatively small amounts of capital often face compliance costs that far exceed the size of the fundraising itself. In his view, this creates unnecessary barriers to innovation.
Looking ahead, Saylor said he expects the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Treasury Department, the White House, and Congress to maintain a favorable approach toward digital assets. He added that the long-term success of the cryptocurrency industry in the United States depends on establishing a digital asset framework that is ethically, technically, and economically sound.
Although Bet-David’s question centered on Ripple and XRP, Saylor did not directly state whether his opinion of either had changed.
Viewers Noted the Missing Answer
The lack of a direct response quickly became a focus of reactions shared beneath the clip highlighted by Crypto Dyl News.
While Michael Saylor outlined his expectations for a more supportive regulatory environment, the specific question regarding his stance on XRP remained unanswered in the interview.
