ASML's Q2 results surpass expectations across the board, driven mainly by strong demand for AI chips
BlockBeats reported that on July 15, the world’s largest supplier of computer chip manufacturing equipment, ASML (ASML.O), announced second-quarter revenue and profit that both exceeded market expectations, as demand from artificial intelligence chip makers offset uncertainty about sales to China.
According to the median estimate from LSEG data, for the three months ended June 30, ASML's revenue was 9.33 billion euros (approximately 10.9 billion US dollars), higher than analysts' expectation of 8.8 billion euros. Net profit was 2.92 billion euros, also above the market expectation of 2.62 billion euros.
As of press time, ASML was up 2.73% in pre-market trading.
