Generac Signs Supply Agreement With Amazon for Data Center Power Generators, Shares Jump After Hours

05:08 PM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Generac (GNRC) said Wednesday it has signed a long-term supply agreement with Amazon (AMZN), with initial deliveries of backup power generators for data centers expected to reach $2.4 billion in 2027 and 2028. Generac said in a regulatory filing that it has signed an agreement with Amazon under which it issued to Amazon unit Amazon.com NV Investment Holdings a warrant to buy up to about 1.69 million shares of Generac at $200.9266 per share. Generac said 307,954 warrant shares vested immediately and the rest will vest over the term of the warrant in tranches contingent upon payments received by Generac from Amazon for the generators, up to $8 billion. Generac shares were up 42% in after-hours activity.
