Market Chatter: Goldman Sachs, Apollo Begin Marketing $40 Billion SpaceX Chip Financing Deal

07:20 AM EST, 11/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Goldman Sachs Group (GS) and Apollo Global Management (APO) have begun approaching investors to syndicate portions of a roughly $40 billion financing package for SpaceX's Nvidia GPU purchases, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources. The deal includes an $8.3 billion senior-secured loan and multiple bond tranches, the report said. Goldman led the loan portion, while Apollo was a key bond investor, it added. A special purpose vehicle managed by Apollo-backed Atlas SP will purchase Nvidia chips and issue debt, keeping the financing off SpaceX's balance sheet, according to Bloomberg. The package will fund approximately $47.3 billion in GPU equipment purchases, with deliveries expected in 2027, it said. Goldman, Apollo and SpaceX did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
