Cava Group Raises Same-Restaurant Sales View on Higher 3Q Revenue
Dow Jones2026/11/04 21:11By Natalie Weger
Cava Group's same-restaurant sales rose in its latest quarter, as the company continued to gain market share, prompting the company to bump its full-year forecast.
The Mediterranean fast-casual chain now expects same-restaurant sales growth of 6% to 7%, compared with its previous forecast of 4.5% to 6.5%. Analysts polled by FactSet expect a rise of 6.6%.
The updated guidance comes after Cava said third-quarter same-restaurant sales rose 3.1%. Revenue rose 22% to $356.4 million, helped by 102 new restaurant openings during the past year as well as guest traffic.
However, Cava posted a third-quarter profit of $13.2 million, or 11 cents a share, down from $14.7 million, or 12 cents a share, a year earlier, due to higher depreciation and amortization expenses and higher equity-based compensation.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings per share of 12 cents on $358.4 revenue.
Looking ahead, Cava now expects to open 76 to 78 restaurants for the year, compared with its previous forecast of 75 to 77. Chief Executive Brett Schulman said despite broader industry pressures, the company is still gaining traction with new customers, particularly in its newly opened restaurants.
