ZetaChain plans to burn 55 million ZETA and migrate to Solana in December 2026.

ZetaChain has submitted a governance proposal, planning to destroy approximately 55 million ZETA cumulatively through regular monthly burns by 2027, and has committed not to sell any newly unlocked ZETA held by the foundation throughout 2027. After the migration is completed, ZETA will no longer be issued, and token minting rights will be permanently revoked. ZETA is scheduled to migrate to Solana on December 9, 2026, at a 1:1 ratio. Voting on this proposal has started, will last for 72 hours, and will end on November 7.
