05:09 AM EST, 11/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG) Google plans to invest $15 billion in Malaysia over 2027-28 in data centre campuses, clean energy, and water security to meet strong demand for digital infrastructure, according to media reports on Wednesday. Google plans to add more than 1 gigawatt of clean energy capacity to Malaysia's national grid, according to a company statement cited in media reports. The search giant plans to pay for 100% of the power its data centre campuses use and the direct infrastructure costs required to connect them to the grid.
