XRP’s $1.20 Support Faces Pressure After Break Below Trading Range

XRP risks a slide toward $1.10 – $1.14 if it loses support at $1.20, according to an analyst reviewing the OG altcoin’s daily price action. With XRP trading near $1.24 at the time of recording, Zach Humphries described its recent bounce as “a recovery attempt” rather than a confirmed reversal.

The distinction matters after XRP slipped below a trading range the analyst had been tracking. A recent rebound from roughly $1.20 offered some relief, but a daily close beneath that level would weaken the near-term outlook.

The levels separating a bounce from a reversal

The expert outlined three scenarios, with sideways trading presented as the most likely: XRP holds around $1.20–$1.24 but struggles to clear $1.30. That would leave the token consolidating rather than establishing a stronger upward trend.

A bullish recovery would require several steps. First comes holding $1.20 and reclaiming $1.26, followed by a return above roughly $1.28 to re-enter the previous range.

Daily closes around $1.30-$1.32, supported by stronger trading volume, would provide more convincing evidence of improvement. The analyst identified $1.34 as a possible upside level if that recovery develops.

Below $1.20, the focus shifts to $1.10, $1.12 and $1.14. These were explicitly described as scenario levels, not guaranteed destinations or firm price targets.

Election optimism meets a weak price chart

Zach Humphries placed XRP’s weakness within a broader retreat in risk assets, citing declines in Bitcoin, Ethereum and technology stocks. The video also cited a market report putting XRP’s October decline near 16%, alongside a roughly 33% year-to-date loss.

U.S. midterm elections, described in the recording as taking place the following day, formed the main macroeconomic backdrop. The analyst argued that clarity over political control could help markets and cited an average S&P 500 gain of about 15% in the 12 months after midterm elections. That historical comparison was not an XRP-specific forecast.

The video leaves a gap between optimism about the next 12-18 months and the evidence on XRP’s chart. Broader market relief could help, but Zach’s own threshold remains concrete: defend $1.20, then reclaim $1.30–$1.32 before treating the rebound as something more durable.
