American Electric Power Forms New Infrastructure Unit to Expand Energy Solutions

09:22 AM EST, 11/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- American Electric Power (AEP) has established AEP Infrastructure, a new unit focused on developing and operating energy infrastructure to meet rising electricity demand, the company said Tuesday. The unit will combine American Electric's energy businesses and pursue generation acquisitions and projects, including Longview Power Plant and a fuel cell facility for Alphabet (GOOGL, GOOG) unit Google, the company said. Greg Hall will lead the new unit as president and report to chief executive officer Bill Fehrman, it added.
