Can XRP Reach $1,000 or $10,000? Experts Shares Opinion on Extreme Price Targets
Price predictions for XRP have reached extraordinary levels across social media. Targets of $100, $1,000, and even $10,000 per coin circulate regularly among retail investors and community commentators. Crypto Enthusiast and Coach Anderson decided to put those figures to the test.
At $1,000 per XRP, a circulating supply of approximately 60 billion coins produces a market capitalization of $60 trillion. At $10,000, that figure reaches $600 trillion.
For context, the entire global GDP sits well below $120 trillion. Coach Anderson acknowledged XRP’s technology and payment use cases as worth watching, but argued that investors need to separate possibility from probability.
Community Members Offer a Different Lens
Coach Anderson’s post on X drew responses from XRP community members who challenged how market capitalization itself should be interpreted.
Leon Johnson took a more technical position. He pushed back on the assumption that $60 trillion must physically flow into XRP for the price to reach $1,000.
“Market cap isn’t the amount of money invested,” Johnson wrote. “It’s circulating supply multiplied by the last traded price.” He pointed to Ripple’s expansion of settlement through RLUSD as a factor that could generate sustained demand over time.
What the Debate Reveals About XRP Valuation
The core disagreement is not about whether XRP has utility. Both community members acknowledged its role in payments and settlement infrastructure. The debate is about whether conventional market cap analysis applies cleanly to an asset tied to a global financial protocol.
Coach Anderson’s post presents the valuation challenge as a reason for investors to apply greater scrutiny to price targets. Johnson and Hulk Fit argue that scrutiny should also extend to the metrics used to evaluate those targets.
XRP currently operates within a competitive landscape that includes stablecoins, CBDCs, and rival payment networks. Whether demand for the asset can scale alongside its use cases remains an open question. The community conversation suggests that XRP investors are increasingly engaging with the financial mechanics behind the predictions, not just the figures themselves.
