Inovio Pharmaceuticals Gets FDA Accelerated Approval for VOCERYQ

06:52 PM EDT, 10/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Inovio Pharmaceuticals (INO) said Friday the US Food and Drug Administration granted accelerated approval to VOCERYQ, a DNA-based immunotherapy indicated to reduce the frequency of surgical papilloma excisions in adults with recurrent respiratory papillomatosis. The approval was supported by a study of 32 adults who had at least two surgeries in the year before treatment. Of those, 26 patients who had at least three surgeries during the 12 months before treatment were included in the efficacy evaluation. Seven, or 27%, required no surgical excision during 12 months of follow-up. Continued approval may depend on verification of clinical benefit in a confirmatory study. INOVIO expects VOCERYQ to be available to order and ship in about 60 days, with a full commercial launch planned for Q1 2027. The company expects to submit a draft protocol for the confirmatory study by year-end 2026.
