Joby Aviation Launches Week of Electric Air Taxi Flights Across Florida

03:07 PM EDT, 10/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Joby Aviation (JOBY) has launched a week of piloted electric air taxi flights across Florida, the state's first flights under a White House-backed federal program announced by the US Department of Transportation in March, the company said Friday. The aircraft will fly from Tampa to Orlando and on to the Space Coast, with landings at Orlando International Airport and Kennedy Space Center that help map the initial phase of Florida's planned Aerial Highway Network and give the US Federal Aviation Administration operational data as Joby works through the final stages of type certification, the company added.
