MDA Space Signs Satellite Antenna Deal With Thales Alenia Space; Shares Fall Pre-Bell

08:50 AM EDT, 10/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- MDA Space (MDA) said Friday it has signed an agreement with Thales Alenia Space to begin work on MDA AURORA, its broadband digital phased array antennas and digital antenna controller for 66 low-Earth-orbit satellites. The company said the authorization to proceed agreement is valued at more than $100 million. Thales Alenia Space is a joint venture that is 67% owned by French defense company Thales, and 33% owned by Italian defense company Leonardo. Shares of MDA Space were down over 6% pre-bell.
