Roblox Says Engagement Is Strong Despite Year-Over-Year Declines -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/10/29 22:231823 ET - Roblox says that its engagement remains strong despite year-over-year drops in both daily active users and engagement hours. The company says that the engagement metrics are up against a tough comparison from 2025, but that both DAUs and engagement hours have almost doubled since the third quarter of 2023. "We achieved the highest seasonally adjusted overall platform retention since 2021" during the third quarter, CEO David Baszucki adds on a Thursday call with analysts. Changes to the discovery algorithm in the third quarter have boosted retention and monetization, with a positive effect on bookings. The stock is down 17%, to $43.65, after-hours.
