Colliers International Group's Englobe to Acquire Obsidian Engineering for Undisclosed Sum

04:22 PM EDT, 10/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Colliers International Group (CIGI.TO) after trade Thursday said its Canadian engineering platform, Englobe, agreed to acquire Obsidian Engineering. Calgary-based Obsidian has completed over 3,500 projects across Canada's energy and data center markets, according to the statement. Under Colliers' partnership model, Obsidian's senior management team will become significant shareholders in Englobe and take on key leadership roles, the company said. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition was set to close in the fourth quarter, subject to customary closing conditions. Shares of Colliers International Group closed up 2.4% at CA$134.41 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
