01:08 PM EDT, 10/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were lower Thursday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) falling 1.2% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) dropping 1.4%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index declined 1.3%. In corporate news, Alphabet's (GOOGL) Q3 results missed Wall Street's estimates despite AI-led cloud revenue growth as capital expenditure more than doubled annually. Its shares fell 12%.
