Novavax Earns $125 Million Milestone Payment From Sanofi's Phase 3 Vaccine Trial in Europe

10:36 AM EDT, 10/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Novavax (NVAX) has earned a $125 million milestone payment related to Sanofi's (SNY) initiation of a phase 3 influenza-COVID-19 combination vaccine trial in Europe using Novavax's Nuvaxovid COVID-19 vaccine, according to a Thursday statement. The trial will evaluate the combination of Nuvaxovid with Sanofi's Efluelda/Fluzone High-Dose vaccine in adults aged at least 60 years old, Novavax said. The companies' collaboration and license agreement for Nuvaxovid also entitles Novavax to additional milestone payments and royalties on sales, according to the statement.
