Marvell, Microsoft, Oracle Form Data Center Security Group

09:24 AM EDT, 10/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Marvell Technology (MRVL), Microsoft (MSFT), and Oracle (ORCL) said Tuesday that they have established an Open Compute Project working group to standardize a NIST FIPS 140-3 Level 3 integrated hardware security module for cloud and hyperscale data center infrastructure. The companies said the group will create open technical specifications for building hardware security modules directly into servers. The modules would securely cache and manage cryptographic keys and provide attestation at the server level. The effort is intended to reduce latency, improve scalability, and bolster the security posture of cloud compute workloads.
