No-KYC Crypto Exchanges in 2026: Where You Can Still Swap Without ID

Yes, you can still swap crypto without handing over ID in 2026 if you look beyond centralised exchanges. For coins you already hold, the quickest route is GhostSwap, a no-KYC instant swap service where standard swaps skip the account, email and ID upload.

The other options are peer-to-peer marketplaces, atomic swaps and wallets with a swap feature inside. Below is each route as it stands in October 2026, with notes on who it suits.

1. Instant swap services

GhostSwap has run as an instant swap service since October 2024. You choose two coins, paste the address that should get the new coins, and send your deposit.

New coins are paid out to your own wallet. Nothing sits in an account balance, because there is no account to hold one.

It supports 1,600+ coins, with Zcash (ZEC), Dash and Monero (XMR) among them. The rate moves with the market, with the service fee baked into it.

Before you commit, the swap box lists the estimated amount you get, the network fee, and the lowest and highest amount allowed for that pair. A swap paid from Solana or Tron usually finishes in 5 to 15 minutes; from Bitcoin, allow roughly 20 to 60.

2. P2P marketplaces: Haveno / RetoSwap and Bisq 1

A peer-to-peer market pairs you with another trader rather than a company. Neither of the two below wants an account or ID from you.

Haveno is open-source trading software, and RetoSwap is a public network running it on desktop and Android. You can swap XMR against fiat or crypto, settled by bank transfer, cash or a payment app.

While a Haveno trade is open, funds wait in 2-of-3 multisig. The arbitrator holds only one of those keys.

Bisq 1 is a desktop app, and for Monero it trades XMR against BTC only. Each side puts up a BTC deposit, and the cap on altcoin trades is 0.25 BTC.

Timing runs from less than an hour to several days, depending on how you pay.

3. Atomic swaps: BasicSwap and eigenwallet

With an atomic swap there is no middle party. Each coin stays locked on its own chain until the trade completes or gets refunded.

BasicSwap is a self-hosted app that swaps XMR for BTC, LTC or another listed coin. Its README says it charges nothing beyond network fees, but you have to set up a wallet for every coin.

eigenwallet, formerly UnstoppableSwap, handles BTC to XMR only, with rates set by independent makers. When a swap fails, you must reopen the app within the 24-hour refund window, or the BTC can be lost.

Expect half an hour or more per swap, since both chains need confirmations.

4. Wallets with built-in swaps: Cake Wallet

Cake Wallet is open-source and self-custody, holding XMR, BTC, ETH, LTC and other coins on phone and desktop. Cake does not operate the exchange itself.

Swaps started inside the app are passed to third-party providers. You see the rate before you confirm.

Which one fits you

Have BTC, ETH or USDT already and want the new coin today? A swap service gets you there quickest, and all it takes is a wallet address and one deposit.

Only have bank money or cash? A P2P market such as Haveno is the main way in without ID. Allow time for a security deposit and a trade chat.

Want no third party anywhere in the trade? Atomic swaps fit, if you are happy to run wallets for both coins.

Prefer one app for holding and swapping? A wallet with built-in swaps keeps things simple, though a separate provider still handles each trade.

Q&A

Q: What is a no-KYC crypto exchange?

A: It is a place to trade or swap coins without uploading ID or verifying an account. Instant swap services, P2P marketplaces and atomic-swap tools all fit that description. Centralised exchanges almost always ask for ID.

Q: Is it legal to use one?

A: Rules differ from country to country, so check the ones that apply where you live. Nothing in this post is legal advice.

Q: Do I need to sign up on GhostSwap?

A: No. Standard swaps need no account, email or sign-up. Since there is no login, keep your swap ID, because it opens the status page for that swap.

Q: What happens if a swap cannot go through?

A: GhostSwap asks for a refund address when you start, which is the address you send from. Any swap that must be returned sends the coins back there.

1. U.S. equities gained over the week, while crypto assets declined, reflecting a divergence in risk appetite. From October 3 to 9, the S&P 500 rose 1.15% and the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.24%, while BTC, ETH, and SOL fell 2.31%, 6.84%, and 7.99%, respectively. The U.S. Dollar Index advanced 0.27%, and although the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield declined 3.3 basis points, it remained elevated at 5.244%. High funding costs therefore continued to weigh on risk asset valuations. 2. Weak employment data have not eliminated inflation concerns, while AI and on-chain finance face growing scrutiny over commercial viability. September nonfarm payrolls increased by just 29,000, yet the minutes of the Federal Reserve's September meeting still pointed to the possibility of further rate hikes before year-end. This week's CPI release and major bank earnings will provide important tests of growth and inflation pressures. Revenue recognition and reporting practices in AI, underlying asset rights in RWA, and operating costs for Layer 2 networks are also becoming increasingly important measures of commercial viability. 3. Bitget has completed its phased service restoration, while the Bitget Alliance Program continues to support clients' trading and capital management needs. We completed the planned restoration on October 2 and replenished the Protection Fund to more than $300 million on September 30. According to DefiLlama, assets tracked on the platform rebounded from approximately $5.647 billion on October 1 to $6.223 billion on October 11. Assets to watch: BTC, ETH, SOL, SUI, PUMP, gold, JPM, BAC, and ASML. Key areas of focus this week: The October 14 U.S. CPI release; bank net interest income and credit costs; AI cash flow generation; and post-recovery trends in assets held on Bitget, settlement efficiency, and trading conditions. Market data are current through October 9 or the latest local trading day. Official announcements and promotion terms were reviewed through October 12.
