XRP, Zcash, HYPE, SHIB: Key support and resistance levels in focus after steep declines
Major altcoins including XRP, Zcash (ZEC), Hyperliquid (HYPE), and Shiba Inu (SHIB) are trading near critical support levels after experiencing sharp downturns from their late-September highs. Traders and investors are watching closely to see if buyers can defend these zones and revive bullish momentum in the coming sessions.
XRP struggles to recover amid weak volume
XRP is changing hands near $1.395 following a steep decline from its recent high of $1.66 reached in late September. The coin briefly dropped to $1.32 during a sell-off in early October before recovering modestly. Despite this rebound, trading volume remains subdued, and the short-term trend continues to tilt downward.
Technical indicators suggest that XRP is hovering just below its 50-day moving average near $1.40, while the long-term average at $1.34 sits just underneath. Price has previously found support at this level. Market participants view $1.35 as a crucial threshold; maintaining it could reinforce the ongoing recovery, while a close below would increase downward pressure.
Immediate support levels lie at $1.35 and $1.32, with deeper backup near $1.25—the zone that fueled the August rally. Resistance can be found at $1.45 and the $1.50 mark, where sellers intervened several times in the past few weeks.
XRP needs to sustain a close above $1.45, paired with rising trading volumes, for the recovery to gain traction. Should this occur, the next target is $1.50, and breaking that could pave the way toward $1.60. Conversely, a close below $1.35 would likely send price toward $1.32 or possibly $1.25.
| XRP | $1.395 | $1.35, $1.32, $1.25 | $1.45, $1.50, $1.60 |
| ZEC | $1,236 | $1,190, $1,100, $1,000 | $1,300, $1,400, $1,500 |
| HYPE | $85.24 | $83, $78, $74 | $88, $92, $98 |
| SHIB | $0.00000542 | $0.00000530, $0.00000510, $0.00000470-$0.00000450 | $0.00000560, $0.00000580, $0.00000600 |
Zcash holds above $1,190 after sharp correction
Zcash, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency that offers shielded transactions, is currently priced near $1,236 after a marked retreat from its high of $1,700 in late September. The token stabilized after bouncing from the $1,190 level and remains above its long-term average near $750, reflecting the strength of the earlier rally that began in August.
Despite its broader uptrend, ZEC’s short-term momentum is fading as it struggles beneath recent swing highs. Key support sits at $1,190 and, if breached, the next target would be $1,100 followed by the psychologically significant $1,000 mark. On the upside, resistance emerges at $1,300, while the $1,350 and $1,400 levels could limit gains in the short-term.
A successful daily close above $1,300, coupled with an increase in trading activity, would reinforce buyer confidence and could set the stage for a move toward $1,400 or even a retest of the late-September highs near $1,700. Otherwise, prolonged weakness below $1,190 may signal the rally is losing momentum. As market participation thins, a convincing directional move will likely require a substantial rise in trading volume.
Mini dictionary: Zcash (ZEC), launched in 2016, employs zero-knowledge proofs to allow fully private transactions, giving users the option to shield both sender and recipient details as well as transaction amounts.
Hyperliquid and Shiba Inu remain rangebound
Hyperliquid (HYPE), a decentralized derivatives protocol token, is trading around $85.24, having slipped from its late-September peak of $98. The coin rebounded slightly after testing support near $83 and now trades just above its short-term moving average of $84 but remains under the resistance area at $88. The longer-term trajectory remains positive, as HYPE sits well above its principal moving averages at $64 and $76.
Key levels to watch for HYPE include support at $83, with additional backup at $78 and $74. Should HYPE succeed in closing above $88 with robust volume, it would target $92, while clearing $95 could challenge the previous high at $98. A decisive drop below $83, however, threatens to send the token down to $78 or lower.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) continues to hover below its long-term average of $0.00000560, pointing to a prevailing weak trend. The token is currently priced at $0.00000542, with buyers defending the $0.00000530 level. Immediate support remains at $0.00000530 and $0.00000510, while resistance can be found at $0.00000560 and again at $0.00000580. Clearance above $0.00000560 would indicate improving bullish momentum, with targets set at $0.00000580 and $0.00000600. Dropping below $0.00000510 would expose the support zone down to $0.00000470 and $0.00000450, which marked previous summer lows.
For HYPE and SHIB, the price action over the next few sessions will determine whether current support holds. A decisive break out of their respective trading ranges is needed to establish a clearer direction for both tokens.
