MT newswire2026/10/08 18:3002:30 PM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Viatris (VTRS) agreed to acquire Pacira BioSciences (PCRX) in an all-cash deal worth roughly $1.65 billion to strengthen its non-opioid pain management portfolio, according to a statement released Thursday. Pacira shares soared 44%, with intraday trading volume catapulting to more than 24.4 million from a daily average of about 589,000. Haemonetics (HAE) said in a filing Thursday that CSL Plasma expects to complete the rollout of Haemonetics' devices and disposables by the end of 2027. Shares climbed 16% as intraday trading volume rose to over 1.90 million, versus a daily average of roughly 679,000. UBS adjusted its price target on XP (XP) to $37 from $25 while keeping its buy rating for the stock.
