QuantumScape Launches QS PowerBlock for AI Data-Center Energy Storage

12:31 PM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- QuantumScape (QS) launched its QS PowerBlock battery system designed for in-rack energy storage in AI data centers, the company said Thursday. The solid-state lithium-metal system supports 800VDC architectures and is built to provide safer, higher-performance energy storage, the company said. "The modular system can deliver four times the power density and five times the runtime of current data center industry standards," QuantumScape said.
