Stellar (XLM) Secures 37% of Global 24-Hour Real-World Asset Tokenization

UTodayUToday2026/10/04 13:45

The market capitalization of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization across the top 10 blockchain networks increased by $96.5 million over the past 24 hours.

This allowed the blockchain platform to account for 37% of the global market's total daily expansion and confidently take the top spot.

Stellar and second-place BNB Chain, which added $23.2 million, accounted for 62% of sector-wide net inflows. XLayer (+$9.8 million) and Solana (+$7.7 million) posted more modest gains.

Fewer apps, more capital: what lies behind Stellar's billion-dollar foundation

Stellar's ecosystem shows an unusually high concentration of institutional capital amid the sector's broader expansion, with the total market value of RWA approaching $46 billion by the end of September. According to RWA.xyz, despite the relatively small number of launched projects (72), the average amount of funds locked per initiative exceeds $48 million.

For comparison, this figure is just $1.4 million on the retail-focused Solana network.

At the beginning of October, the total value of distributed RWA assets on Stellar reached $3.47 billion, increasing by 5.86% over the past 30 days. Monthly transfer volume within the network grew by 45%, reaching $581.5 million.

The main liquidity drivers in the ecosystem remain large regulated funds: Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund (€1.225 billion), Ondo U.S. Dollar Yield ($536.89 million) and Franklin Templeton BENJI ($513.78 million). Financial institutions prefer Stellar's infrastructure and Soroban smart contracts because of their low transaction costs and built-in regulatory compliance mechanisms.

This volume pushed ledger activity to a peak of 217.4 transactions per second, operating alongside the network's separate decentralized finance ecosystem, which recently hit $273 million in total value locked. Additionally, the network's RWA liquidity is supported by a $409.9 million stablecoin market cap, generating $10.1 billion in 30-day transfer volume.

BUZZ - Goldman Sachs says the price cap on cancer drugs has limited impact on Indian hospitals

October 9 – Goldman Sachs pointed out that India's implementation of a 30% profit margin cap on non-scheduled anticancer drugs (link) will have limited impact on hospitals. The report states that, based on preliminary discussions with hospital chain groups, such drugs account for less than 5% of hospital revenue and 2% to 2.5% of operating profit. The report adds that hospitals can offset the losses by slightly adjusting service charges, such as administration fees. According to a government notice, an expert committee will finalize the list of drugs to be brought under regulation. Driven by the anticipated price cap, the share prices of Max Healthcare MAXE.NS, Apollo Hospitals APLH.NS, and Fortis Healthcare FOHE.NS rose by 1.6% to 2.5%. Previously, since September 30, these stocks had collectively declined by 11% to 11.5%. Year-to-date, FOHE and MAXE are down 11.7% and 14.8%, respectively, while APLH has risen by 11%.
