XRP Rich List Has Changed: Here’s What Just Happened to These 8.1 Million XRP Accounts
The XRP Ledger now carries over 8.1 million funded accounts.
The XRP rich list’s snapshot shows minimum balances required to rank within specific percentiles of all funded accounts. With XRP currently trading at $1.52, those thresholds have caught the attention of the XRP community.
The Tiers Broken Down
To rank in the top 10%, a holder needs at least 2,127 XRP, roughly $3,233. The top 5% requires 7,459 XRP, around $11,338. The top 1% demands 44,596 XRP, approximately $67,786. The top 0.1% demands 277,148 XRP, worth roughly $421,265.
The remaining tiers on the XRPL round out the full picture. The top 2% requires 21,757 XRP. The top 3% demands an investment of 14,002 XRP. The top 4% sits at 10,020 XRP. The top 0.2% requires 158,601 XRP. The top 0.5% demands 80,016 XRP.
At the very peak, the top 0.01% requires 3,744,000 XRP, an investment of almost $5.7 million. Only 811 accounts currently meet that threshold.
Why the Lower Tiers Draw Interest
The top 10% threshold receives notable attention because of its current price. At just over $3,200, many retail participants view it as accessible. Holders bullish on XRP’s future price potential see accumulating that level now as a low-cost entry into a meaningful network percentile.
The reasoning is straightforward. If XRP appreciates substantially, the dollar value of a top 10% position rises with it. Buying into that tier at $1.52 per token costs far less than it would at higher price points. This is why many investors see XRP at current levels as a major buying opportunity. With 8.1 million funded accounts on the network, many people are taking advantage of the opportunity.
