DoorDash Settles NYC Delivery Worker Pay Dispute for $131.5 Million

07:58 AM EDT, 09/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- DoorDash (DASH) said Tuesday that it reached a $131.5 million settlement with New York City's Department of Consumer and Worker Protection over compliance with delivery worker pay rules. The settlement includes $12.3 million for Dashers who were underpaid or paid late, more than $83.0 million to resolve a dispute over calculating pay for online time, and $16.7 million in fines to the city, it said. DoorDash said about 264,000 Dashers will receive payments, including 209,000 for missing or late payments. The company said technical issues affected less than 1% of NYC Dasher payments.
