According to Zhitong Finance APP, Roche's (RHHBY.US) experimental weight-loss injection enicepatide has simultaneously reduced both blood sugar levels and body weight in overweight or obese type 2 diabetes patients during a mid-stage trial. Roche stated in a press release on Tuesday that patients receiving the highest dose of 24 milligrams experienced a 2.65% reduction in hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c, a blood sugar indicator), and an average weight loss of 15.5% after 48 weeks, with no plateau observed.
