The Uniswap (UNI) token recorded a sharp surge, rising from $6.63 to $8.49, following the United States Securities and Exchange Commission’s rollout of a provisional regulatory framework permitting certain tokenized US equities to trade via permissioned automated market maker (AMM) platforms.
UNI rallies 28% as SEC creates AMM pathway for tokenized equities trading
SEC approval sparks price action
Although the SEC did not issue a direct endorsement of Uniswap or its v4 protocol, the new regulatory structure aligns closely with Uniswap’s existing permissioned pools technology. This framework enables the compliant trading of tokenized equities using AMMs and is considered a significant step in regulatory clarity for decentralized finance platforms handling real-world assets.
Uniswap introduced its Permissioned Pools feature in July 2026, partnering with firms such as Superstate, Securitize, and Dowgo. These pools exclusively permit participation from verified wallet addresses through integrated compliance measures, ensuring that liquidity providers meet regulatory requirements.
The SEC’s framework also delivers conditional exemptions to qualified liquidity providers contributing to these pools. Market sources suggest that this could enable a broader set of institutions and investors to participate in Uniswap’s ecosystem while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Market reaction and analyst outlook
Following the regulatory development, UNI broke above the $6.50 resistance level and briefly touched $8.86 before settling near $8.53. The move coincided with a surge in open interest, which reached 11.21 million UNI, reflecting heightened derivatives activity.
Market analyst Crypto Patel, posting on X, noted that UNI has jumped 285% from his previously recommended accumulation zone. He identified $9.50 as the next critical level, arguing that clearing this resistance could set targets at $14, $26, and possibly $50. A failure to hold could place $5.40 as the main downside support.
Derivatives market data further revealed that UNI trading volume climbed 64.27% to $1.23 billion, reflecting robust speculative interest after the SEC’s announcement.
Technical indicators and near-term levels
Currently, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 76.24, indicating UNI is in overbought territory. While this underscores ongoing upward momentum, analysts warn that excessive speculation could result in short-term price consolidation or retracement.
UNI trades above its 20, 50, 100, and 200 exponential moving averages, with Bollinger Bands showing an expansion phase. The upper band is now around $7.55, and the 20-period simple moving average offers dynamic support near $5.99.
Critical resistance levels are positioned at $8.86, $9.35, and $10.15. Analysts are watching these zones closely, with a successful breakout potentially leading to a monthly target near $12 for UNI.
In a market environment where rapid regulatory shifts or sudden altcoin listings can change trading dynamics within seconds, traders face the challenge of monitoring multiple platforms for price charts, news, and portfolio updates. As a result, experienced investors increasingly opt for privacy-first platforms such as CryptoAppsy, which allow users to consolidate charts, real-time s, relevant news, and macroeconomic data on one screen—without the need to create an account.
Underlying platform fundamentals
Beyond recent token price moves, Uniswap processed over $70 billion in transaction volume in the past month and now supports more than 1,700 tokenized real-world assets. Technical upgrades also continue, with recent expansions involving Ink integration across the platform’s Web Application, Wallet, and API, as well as deployment of Arc functions on multiple Uniswap versions and UniswapX.
As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, Uniswap’s combination of technical development and compliance-focused innovation remains under close watch from both market participants and institutional stakeholders.

JPMorgan: Custom chip shipments will surpass GPU in 2027; Broadcom TPU's "supply chain invisibility" does not indicate questionable orders
J.P. Morgan expects that by 2027, the shipment share of ASICs/XPUs will reach 54%, surpassing GPUs, with custom chips becoming an important new driver of AI computing power. The five-year TPU agreement between Broadcom and Google covers 2026 to 2031; although supply chain information is not transparent, this does not imply doubts about the orders, and revenue visibility remains strong. During the same period, demand for wafer equipment and storage is also strengthening, supporting the continuation of the semiconductor cycle.
