Solidigm is considering building a NAND flash production base on the East Coast of the United States

According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix subsidiary Solidigm is considering establishing a NAND flash production base in the eastern United States. Solidigm was founded as an American subsidiary after SK hynix acquired Intel’s NAND business unit in 2021. According to industry sources on the 18th, Solidigm is currently evaluating potential locations and detailed conditions, with plans to build a large-scale NAND production line in the eastern United States. If a large-scale production line is established in the US, it would become Solidigm’s first domestic production base. Recent reports have suggested that Solidigm is considering cooperation with Intel in memory production, and there have also been ongoing rumors about its listing on Nasdaq. An SK hynix official said: “Solidigm is reviewing various measures to enhance its competitiveness, but nothing has been finalized yet.”
