Boeing Expects Some 777X Testing To Spill Into 2027

MT newswireMT newswire2026/09/16 20:00
04:00 PM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing Company (BA) expects some testing of its delayed 777X jet to spill into 2027, although it continues to plan for deliveries to begin next year, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing CEO Kelly Ortberg at a Morgan Stanley investor conference. The delay is linked to pending certification of a seal on the GE Aerospace turbine engine powering the aircraft, Ortberg said, according to the report. Boeing CFO Jay Malave said the company's target of generating $1 billion to $3 billion in free cash flow this year remains unchanged, although slower 737 and 787 deliveries make it less likely to exceed the midpoint, Bloomberg reported.
