Osisko Metals to Spinoff New Brunswick Non-Core Projects into a New Company, Osisko Critical Minerals

04:52 PM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Osisko Metals (OM.TO) plans to create a new mineral exploration company to be named Osisko Critical Minerals, the company said after trade on Tuesday. The spinoff company will focus on Osisko Metals' non-core projects in New Brunswick, and will be led by John Burzynski, currently executive chair of Osisko Metals. Osisko Metals will retain a minority position in the new company. "We are excited by the prospect of this new copper and critical minerals exploration company and the assets it brings forward. New Brunswick has been home to major metal deposits in the past, and we believe there is excellent potential for defining a significant mineralized bulk-tonnage porphyry-skarn deposit on OCMC's assets," said Burzynski. Osisko Metals shares closed down CA$0.04 to CA$1.63 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
