In Nigeria, the average daily crude oil production (excluding condensate) in August 2026 was 1.498 million barrels, with total oil and gas production (crude oil + condensate) averaging 1.676 million barrels per day. This marks a slight increase of 0.4% from July and represents the fourth consecutive month of meeting the OPEC production quota.
During the month, the daily production range for crude oil and condensate was between 1.64 million and 1.71 million barrels; Bonny Terminal and Forcados Terminal were the two largest export ports, with average daily outputs of 319,000 barrels and 316,000 barrels, respectively.
The production rebound was mainly due to the repair of the single-point mooring facility at the Erha Oilfield, which had negatively impacted output in July due to equipment issues; most other oil and gas facilities operated steadily overall.
Regulatory authorities stated that the industry continues to advance equipment maintenance and reduce the risk of production interruptions. The slight increase in output this time reflects the effectiveness of fault management and asset administration. There are plans to further enhance facility reliability and strive for steady production growth in the future.
