At the close of trading that day, the New York Mercantile Exchange's light crude oil futures for October delivery increased by $1.34 to settle at $101.39 per barrel, a rise of 1.34%. The London Brent crude oil futures for November delivery rose by $1.07 to close at $105.68 per barrel, an increase of 1.02%. This oil price increase further reflects the current fluctuations in the supply and demand of the international energy market and is expected to have a certain chain effect on the subsequent trend of global refined oil prices and costs in related consumption sectors.
