01:04 PM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks advanced Thursday afternoon, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) fractionally higher and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) rising 1.6%. In corporate news, Campbell's (CPB) guided for a soft fiscal 2027 outlook amid persistent inflation worries and cut its quarterly dividend. Its shares fell past 9%.
