Meta releases Muse Spark 1.3 model to advance the development of personal AI agents
Gelonghui September 3rd|Meta released the Muse Spark 1.3 model update on Wednesday, stating that this version has significantly improved performance in coding and agentic tasks. Meta AI chief Alexandr Wang said the new model is "on par with frontier models" and will pave the way for future personal AI agent products, helping users realize AI assistants that can work on their behalf around the clock. The price of Muse Spark 1.3 remains the same as the previous version; Wang called this pricing strategy "aggressive." Meta also stated that its "contributor tier" option has been welcomed by developers. This program allows Meta to use developer works to improve models, significantly reducing coding product costs, and a "meaningful double-digit percentage" of developers have already chosen this option. Wang stated that as the model's capabilities improve, safety issues have become an important topic within Meta, and the company is increasing investment in safety and alignment. Muse Spark 1.3 will be released the same day on Muse Code and Meta API, and the highest inference version will be launched after completing additional safety tests.
