Crypto trader XRP Olesya has used one of economics’ fundamental formulas to project a far higher price for XRP than current market levels, posting her findings on X. Her analysis draws from the Fisher equation, an economic formula that links an asset’s price to its transaction volume, the velocity of funds, and total supply.
Crypto trader XRP Olesya claims Fisher equation points to $6,000 XRP price
The Fisher equation and price assumptions
The Fisher equation, developed by economist Irving Fisher, seeks to determine the value of an asset by calculating the total value of economic activity using that asset, the number of circulating units, and the rate at which those units are transferred. Olesya applied this framework to XRP, utilizing her own set of assumptions.
Specifically, she estimated annual institutional transaction volume through the XRP network would reach $30 trillion, with a velocity of 0.5 times per year and a circulating supply of 10 billion XRP. Under this model, Olesya argued that banks holding XRP as collateral would decrease velocity because the tokens would remain in treasury rather than changing hands, even as transaction volume increases.
She concluded that this scenario, which she labeled as conservative, leads to a theoretical price of $6,000 per XRP. Her analysis stresses this is not a typical influencer forecast but instead relies on established economic math.
I did the math on ripple:native price using economic formulas from more than a century ago and factored in actual transaction volume and supply. The result was a theoretical $6,000 per XRP under what I consider a conservative scenario.
Mini dictionary: The Fisher equation is an economic identity (MV = PQ) that relates the money supply (M) and its velocity (V) to the price level (P) and volume of transactions (Q). It is used to understand how variables like transaction flow and velocity influence an asset’s value.
Projected growth milestones
Olesya outlined a price trajectory for XRP linked to upcoming regulatory clarity and adoption milestones. She projected that within the first three months following passage of the CLARITY Act, bank treasury pilots could push XRP’s price between $2,000 and $2,500.
Between months three and six, as banks open liquidity corridors for cross-currency settlements, she anticipates a move to the $5,000–$8,600 range. From months nine to fifteen, Olesya expects banks to integrate XRP into foreign exchange desks and trim nostro and vostro account balances, bringing a projected value of $14,000–$20,000.
In the longer term—after 18 months—she sees potential for $17,000–$40,000 per XRP, with further upside if derivatives markets begin settling on XRP, possibly reaching $44,000–$66,000. These estimates are based solely on Olesya’s personal calculations and assumptions.
| First 3 months | $2,000 – $2,500 |
| 3–6 months | $5,000 – $8,600 |
| 9–15 months | $14,000 – $20,000 |
| 18+ months (with derivatives) | $17,000 – $66,000 |
Developments supporting the outlook
As further evidence for her thesis, Olesya pointed to recent institutional use of the XRP Ledger. She cited a JPMorgan transaction settled using XRP in May, as well as commercial paper rated by Moody’s and issued by Guggenheim completing settlement on the ledger. Olesya also highlighted Ripple Prime’s listing among clearing participants at DTCC under code 0443, suggesting critical banking infrastructure is beginning to utilize XRPL.
Mini dictionary: DTCC, or the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, is a major American post-trade financial services company that provides clearing and settlement services for securities transactions. Its directories list firms approved for clearing activity in key financial markets.
Need for regulatory clarity
Olesya maintains that significant institutional adoption cannot proceed without formal legal status for XRP. She argued that bank compliance teams are unable to approve the use of XRP as collateral unless a US federal regulatory framework is in place. According to her, the CLARITY Act, which is currently pending on the Senate calendar under Order Number 423, is the pivotal missing element for widespread adoption.
Arguments in context of global financial stress
Linking her scenario to recent geopolitical and economic developments, Olesya referenced market strain caused by disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz and increasing uncertainty about the petrodollar system. She suggested these pressures could accelerate institutional moves to adopt new settlement technologies, especially if legal clarity is secured for XRP. In closing, she encouraged others to review the Fisher equation and her input assumptions directly.
By connecting transaction volumes, supply, and velocity through this proven economic formula, I found that legal clarity could unlock institutional use and major price appreciation for XRP if the projected conditions materialize.
