Kimberly-Clark's Kenvue Acquisition Receives Conditional Approval in Australia

08:15 AM EDT, 09/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Kimberly-Clark's (KMB) proposal to acquire Kenvue (KVUE) received approval from Australia's competition regulator on condition that Kimberly-Clark would sell Kenvue's period care products to a buyer approved by the regulator, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said Wednesday. The Commission said Kimberly-Clark and Kenvue both supply period care products in Australia and that, without the divestiture of Kenvue's Carefree and Stayfree brands, the acquisition could "substantially lessen competition" in the country's period care products market. Kimberly-Clark said in November 2025 that the proposed deal estimates Kenvue's enterprise value at $48.7 billion.
