Nearly half of exchanges lack key security proofs, CoinGecko migrates security scoring to CORE3
Odaily reports that CoinGecko has announced the migration of its centralized exchange Trust Score cybersecurity rating from CER.live to the Hacken risk infrastructure platform CORE3. This change covers 166 exchanges and introduces a framework that places greater emphasis on forward-looking risk assessment. According to CORE3 data, among the 193 exchanges assessed, around 48% have not provided evidence of proof-of-reserves, penetration testing, or bug bounty programs, with only about 5.2% meeting all three criteria. Users can view the updated cybersecurity scores on CoinGecko and access CORE3 for multidimensional risk breakdowns and loss probability indicators covering security, solvency, and transparency.
