Phillip Nova analyst Priyanka Sahdev stated in a research report that the current oil market has already fully priced in the hidden costs brought about by the prolonged unresolved Middle East conflict.
This round of market disruption is no longer limited to escalating military tensions; shipping vessels in the Strait of Hormuz have been attacked, directly impacting the physical supply chain of crude oil and significantly increasing industry risk.
The mainstream market scenario has shifted to protracted negotiations and long-term disruption of oil transportation and circulation, while the probability of a swift resolution to the conflict in the short term has greatly diminished.
The analyst warns that the longer supply chain disruptions persist, the more likely high oil prices will become embedded in market inflation expectations, ultimately forcing countries around the world to adjust their monetary policies.
