Pundit Says No XRP Holder Is Ready for This
A sharp increase in XRP Ledger network activity has become the focus of a new tweet from crypto influencer Pumpius. According to his analysis, XRP receiving addresses have increased by 2,373%, while the transaction rate has risen by 151%.
Pumpius linked the changes to growing activity involving tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) on the XRP Ledger, suggesting that new wallets, assets, and liquidity are entering the network at the same time.
The figures were presented in a chart created with TradingView and dated August 28. The chart tracks XRP receiving addresses and transaction activity over the past year, with both indicators rising sharply toward the end of the period.
XRP Receiving Addresses Rise Sharply
Pumpius highlighted the 2,373% increase in XRP receiving addresses as the most significant development in his post. The attached chart shows receiving addresses remaining relatively subdued for much of the period before recording a sharp rally in August.
The chart also displays a reported 926.32K XRP receiving-address figure, while the transaction-rate indicator shows a 151.60% increase at the latest point. Pumpius described the move as occurring after months of limited activity and connected the increase to new activity across the XRP Ledger.
His post stated that “XRP receiving addresses just exploded 2,373%” and that the transaction rate had increased 151%. He presented the figures as evidence of a significant change in network activity rather than an isolated movement in XRP’s market price.
Pumpius Links Growth to Tokenized Real-World Assets
Pumpius attributed the increase to the growing presence of tokenized real-world assets on the XRP Ledger. He claimed that assets representing Tesla, Nvidia, gold, silver, copper, and Dubai real estate are now trading on the network through platforms such as Trensik.
Trensik currently describes its platform as a venue for trading verified real-world assets on the XRP Ledger and offers RWA markets with XRP and RLUSD trading pairs. Its website also states that the platform supports tokenized asset trading, RWA routing, and RLUSD settlement.
The broader real-estate tokenization trend also extends beyond crypto-native platforms. Dubai’s Land Department has advanced its own real-estate tokenization initiative, including a secondary-market phase for tokenized properties.
New Wallets and Liquidity Enter the Ledger
Pumpius said the increase in network activity reflects the arrival of “new wallets, new assets, new liquidity” on the XRP Ledger. He connected these developments directly to the expansion of RWA markets and concluded that the network is entering what he described as the “RWA era.”
The post does not break down how much of the reported address growth comes specifically from RWA activity. However, Pumpius presented the timing of the increases as significant, particularly as tokenized assets become more accessible through XRPL-based platforms.
If the activity continues, sustained growth in receiving addresses and transaction rates could indicate whether the recent increase is a lasting expansion in XRP Ledger usage or a short-term surge in activity.
