Data released by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) shows that, in the week ending August 25, speculative traders in natural gas across the four core markets of the New York Mercantile Exchange and Intercontinental Exchange reduced their net short positions in natural gas by 27,238 contracts, bringing the adjusted net short position to 39,598 contracts.
