Nvidia's Bullish Forecast Lifts Investors' Spirits -- WSJ
Dow Jones2026/08/27 18:18By Caitlin McCabe
A blockbuster revenue forecast from Nvidia is bringing some much-needed relief to investors who have been anxious about the AI boom.
The world's most valuable company reported blowout earnings that also came in well ahead of estimates yesterday-and offered a bullish outlook for the year ahead, too: The chip maker said it expects 70% revenue growth in its 2028 fiscal year.
That pushed its shares about 9% higher, putting them on pace for their largest percent increase since April 2025, and sent other stocks tied to the AI buildout rising at home and abroad, too. U.S. stocks are mostly higher, also boosted by CrowdStrike and Salesforce, both of which reported strong results powered by AI demand.
Meanwhile, oil prices are flitting between gains and losses as investors eye diplomatic efforts to ease the standoff in the Strait of Hormuz.
