Xanadu Secures Funding from Canada, Japan to Advance Quantum Semiconductor Research

08:18 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Xanadu Quantum Technologies (XNDU.TO) secured funding from the Canadian and Japanese governments to advance its collaboration with Mitsubishi Chemical on semiconductor fabrication technologies using quantum computing algorithms. The partnership is focused on developing a production-ready workflow for extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, which is used in chip manufacturing but encounters efficiency issues due to radiation-induced blurring, an inherently quantum phenomenon, Xanadu said Tuesday. Xanadu did not provide details of the funding, although it noted that it previously received advisory services and more than $800,000 in funds from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program.
