AeroVironment plans to spend $100 million on a new campus in Moorpark, Calif.
The defense technology company said Monday the company-owned campus will bring together its teams from five leased locations in Southern California, with the goal of boosting collaboration across research, engineering, design, prototyping and production.
The Arlington, Va. company, which was founded in Southern California, said it closed on the campus's primary property during its fiscal second quarter.
The company expects renovation and construction activities to begin in fiscal 2028, with employee transitions occurring in phases. It expects the campus to be fully operational in 2029.
The investment is part of AeroVironment's planned capital expenditures within its previously issued fiscal 2027 guidance, the company said.
